Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Austin store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean environment amid live animals and moderate noise.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness solutions/merchandise.
- Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet if needed.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments as required.
- Follow all policies, participate in Belonging culture, and deliver positive experiences.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, pressure-handling ability, flexible scheduling for evenings/weekends/holidays, organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet environments/pet hair/noise.
