Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Barrie store involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean, safe environment amid a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person or via phone.
- Execute full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions, merchandise, and services based on pet needs.
- Ensure pet, associate, and customer safety; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
- Maintain store cleanliness and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates demonstrate pet affinity, customer service skills, composure under pressure, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, organizational detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, noisy environment with live animals.
