Role Overview
Our Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience in a dynamic retail environment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness solutions/merchandise.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and ensure a safe environment for pets, associates, and customers.
- Identify and act on sick/injured pets, transporting to vet as needed; assist other departments.
- Participate in Belonging culture, follow policies, and drive positive pet parent experiences.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – passion for pets is key! Successful candidates demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, moderate-high noise, and live animals.
