Role Overview
PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet safety and salon cleanliness. This entry-level role is perfect for animal lovers who thrive in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment. Located in Braintree, Massachusetts, you'll work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in wet/hairy conditions, and navigate moderate-to-high noise levels around live animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Master PetSmart’s Splash training for safe, professional bathing services including full baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care.
- Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-ins/outs, and recommend wellness products.
- Maintain a safe, clean salon environment and respond immediately to pet health issues.
- Drive sales through merchandise and service recommendations while assisting store-wide as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates bring pet-handling passion, computer proficiency, pressure-handling composure, organizational detail, and excellent communication. Flexibility and a safety-first mindset are key.
