Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety/cleanliness standards. This entry-level role in our Brampton store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and contributing to a positive store environment. Ideal for animal lovers seeking meaningful work with flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete mandatory Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person or by phone.
• Ensure pet safety, identify sick/injured animals, and coordinate vet transport if needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and recommend wellness products.
• Assist other departments and participate in company culture initiatives.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Successful candidates demonstrate pet affinity, customer service skills, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair/wet environment with moderate noise.
