Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Brick, NJ store, you'll deliver exceptional salon services while engaging pet parents. This entry-level role emphasizes pet safety, customer satisfaction, and upholding PetSmart's values in a dynamic retail environment with live animals and grooming services.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services independently.
- Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
- Maintain safe environments, report sick/injured pets, and transport to vets when needed.
- Recommend wellness solutions, sell merchandise/services, and keep salon/store clean.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet-handling comfort, customer service skills, computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and ability to lift 50+ lbs. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and working in wet, noisy settings with animals.
