Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and ensures pet safety. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Ideal for animal lovers with flexible schedules ready to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and provide personalized recommendations for pet health solutions.
• Ensure salon and store cleanliness; respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport if needed.
• Sell merchandise/services, assist other departments, and uphold company policies while fostering a culture of recognition.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Seeking candidates with strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise and live animal exposure. Depth perception and safety focus essential.
