Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Calgary, Alberta store involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean, safe environment amid a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-in/out procedures, and provide phone support.
- Recommend health/wellness solutions and sell merchandise based on pet needs.
- Ensure pet, associate, and customer safety; transport sick/injured pets to vets as needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness and assist other departments; follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, noisy environment with live animals.
