Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Calgary, Alberta store involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Essential Physical Demands

Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift over 100 lbs), stoop, kneel, and work in a wet, pet-hair-filled space with moderate to high noise and live animal exposure. Depth perception required; accommodations available.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and phone inquiries.
• Recommend health/wellness solutions and sell merchandise/services.
• Ensure pet/associate safety; transport sick pets to vet if needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist other departments as required.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Passion for pets and customer focus are key.
