Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Carson City, Nevada location, you'll engage pet parents and their furry companions, delivering top-tier bathing services while upholding PetSmart's vision of pet safety, cleanliness, and satisfaction. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic pet salon environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and perform full bath/brush services independently.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and provide wellness recommendations.
- Maintain a safe, clean salon; respond to pet health issues and assist across store departments.
- Drive sales of merchandise and services while fostering positive pet parent interactions.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, flexibility for evenings/weekends, and a passion for pets. Proficiency in computers and composure under pressure are essential.

Responsibilities
- Perform full menu of bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services
- Manage pet check-in/out, reservations, and parent consultations
- Maintain salon cleanliness and recommend health/wellness products
- Ensure pet safety, identify sick/injured pets, and coordinate vet transport
- Uphold store standards, assist other departments, and follow company policies
