Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Catonsville, Maryland location, you'll engage pet parents and their furry companions, delivering top-tier bathing services while upholding PetSmart's vision for pet safety and satisfaction. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in pet care with room to advance in grooming or leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full menu of bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per company standards.
- Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
- Recommend health/wellness products and services based on pet needs.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and ensure a safe environment for pets, associates, and customers.
- Assist in other departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and proficiency in computer apps. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise.
