Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Charlottesville, VA location, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver salon services like bathing, brushing, nail trims, and more. Uphold safety standards, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to positive store experiences. This entry-level role offers flexibility and growth in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full menu of bath services independently per company standards.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations.
- Ensure safe environment; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
- Recommend products/services and assist other departments as needed.
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), work in wet/hairy environments with moderate-high noise and live animals.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Need computer proficiency, pressure-handling, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Passion for pets a plus.
