Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Chicago, IL location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering exceptional salon services like bathing, brushing, nail trims, and more. Uphold safety standards, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to positive pet parent experiences while recommending wellness solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full menu of bath/brush services independently per company standards.
- Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
- Ensure safe environment; act on sick/injured pets, transport to vet as needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness, sell merchandise/services, assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role requiring pet handling passion. Need computer proficiency, pressure composure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals.
