Role Overview

As a Pet Bather in our Chicago, IL salon, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering top-tier bathing services while upholding PetSmart's vision. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and recommending wellness solutions. This entry-level role offers flexibility and development in a pet-loving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full menu of bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per standards.
• Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
• Ensure safe environments; act on sick/injured pets, including vet transport if needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, recommend/sell merchandise, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise and live animal exposure.
