Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment, sharing store cleanliness duties and recommending wellness solutions. Ideal for animal lovers seeking meaningful work with flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete mandatory Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
• Monitor pet health, take action on sick/injured animals, and ensure a safe salon environment.
• Maintain cleanliness, sell merchandise/services, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Successful candidates demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping, and working in wet, noisy conditions with live animals.
