Role Overview
The Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment, sharing store cleanliness duties and recommending wellness solutions. Ideal for animal lovers seeking meaningful work with flexible advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per standards.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person/phone/register.
- Ensure safe environments; address sick/injured pets immediately, including vet transport.
- Maintain cleanliness, sell merchandise/services, assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/hairry environments, moderate-high noise, and live animals. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
