Role Overview

The Pet Bather role is perfect for animal lovers who thrive in a fast-paced environment. You'll deliver professional bathing services, engage pet parents, and ensure salon excellence while upholding PetSmart's vision of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in pet care with room to advance.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete mandatory Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, and consultations with pet parents.
• Maintain a safe, clean salon environment and respond to pet health issues.
• Recommend products/services and assist across store departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment. Depth perception and composure under pressure are essential.
