Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Dallas, Texas salon, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering top-tier bath services while upholding PetSmart’s vision, mission, values, and safety standards. Share responsibility for store cleanliness and pet wellness recommendations in a dynamic retail environment.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), work in wet/hairy conditions with moderate-to-high noise. Exposure to live animals is common; reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations.
- Perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Ensure safe environment; act on sick/injured pets.
- Recommend merchandise/services and maintain cleanliness.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role requiring computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Passion for pets preferred.
