Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This entry-level role involves bathing, grooming tasks, customer engagement, and upholding safety/cleanliness standards in a dynamic pet retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and consultations in-person or via phone/register.
• Ensure pet safety, identify sick/injured pets, and coordinate vet transport if needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and recommend wellness products/services.
• Assist other departments and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet-handling comfort, customer service skills, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational detail-orientation, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, moderate-high noise, and live animals.
