Role Overview
The Pet Bather role is perfect for animal lovers who thrive in a fast-paced salon setting. You'll deliver top-tier bathing services, ensure pet safety, and delight pet parents with exceptional care. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in pet grooming with room to advance into styling or management.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart's Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent interactions in-person and via phone.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and recommend health/wellness products.
- Monitor pet health, transport sick/injured pets to vets as needed, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in wet, pet-filled environments. Excellent communication and composure under pressure are essential.
