Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and store support in a dynamic retail environment with live animals, moderate noise, and physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in wet/hairy conditions. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing per standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-in/out procedures.
- Recommend health solutions and merchandise; ensure safe environment.
- Report and transport sick/injured pets; maintain cleanliness across store.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, embrace Belonging culture.
Experience & Skills
