Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Edmonton, Alberta location involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and store support in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Handle pet parent interactions, reservations, check-in/out procedures.
• Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care per standards.
• Recommend health/wellness solutions and sell merchandise/services.
• Maintain store cleanliness, ensure pet safety, and assist other departments.
• Respond to sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, wet/hairy environments, moderate-high noise, and animal handling. Depth perception and team lifting essential.
