Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Edmonton, Alberta location involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment amid a dynamic pet retail setting.

Essential Physical Demands

Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in wet/hairy conditions, and work in moderate-to-high noise levels with live animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing per standards.
• Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-in/out, and recommend health solutions.
• Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured pets, and transport to vet if needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist other departments as required.
• Follow all policies, sell services/merchandise, and foster positive experiences.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Passion for pets is key.
