Role Overview
PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care in a dynamic salon environment, sharing store cleanliness duties, and recommending wellness solutions. Ideal for animal lovers with flexible schedules ready to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and consultations in-person or via phone.
- Maintain safe environments, respond to sick/injured pets, and transport to vets as needed.
- Recommend merchandise/services, ensure store cleanliness, and assist other departments.
- Follow all policies while participating in a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Successful candidates demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, noisy environment with live animals.
