Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Frederick, Maryland location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering top-tier salon services while upholding PetSmart's vision of safety, cleanliness, and exceptional care. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full menu of bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per company standards.
- Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
- Ensure safe environments, identify and address sick/injured pets, and recommend wellness solutions.
- Maintain store cleanliness, sell merchandise/services, and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, proficiency in computers, and excellent communication. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing, stooping in a wet, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise.
