Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Fredericton, New Brunswick store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment amid a dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person or by phone.
• Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Identify sick/injured pets and coordinate vet transport if needed.
• Recommend products/services, maintain salon/store cleanliness, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, noisy environment with live animals.
