Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Georgetown store involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean, safe environment amid a dynamic pet retail setting.

Essential Physical Demands

Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stoop, kneel, and work in wet, noisy conditions with live animals. Depth perception and composure under pressure are key.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing per standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle reservations, check-in/out, answer questions.
• Recommend wellness solutions, sell merchandise/services.
• Ensure pet/associate safety; transport sick pets to vet if needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, flexible availability (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Passion for pets and ability to thrive in fast-paced, pet-filled environments essential.
