Role Overview

As a Pet Bather in our Glen Cove, NY location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering salon services while upholding PetSmart’s vision, mission, values, and safety standards. Share responsibility for store cleanliness and pet wellness recommendations in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person or by phone.
• Independently perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per company standards.
• Ensure safe environments; act on sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
• Maintain cleanliness, recommend merchandise/services, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

Entry-level opportunity requiring computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet environments, pet hair, noise, and live animals. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.
