Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment in our Greece, NY store. Ideal for animal lovers seeking flexible, rewarding work with evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness solutions/merchandise.
- Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet if needed.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments as required.
- Follow all policies, contributing to a positive team culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Successful candidates demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet environments, pet hair, noise, and live animals. Flexible scheduling essential.
