Role Overview
The Pet Bather role delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety/cleanliness standards. This entry-level position offers hands-on pet care experience in a supportive retail environment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per standards.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person/phone/register.
- Ensure safe environments; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness, recommend products/services, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, moderate-high noise, and live animals.
