Role Overview
PetSmart’s Professional Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean salon space in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness products.
- Ensure a safe environment; identify and act on sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments as needed.
- Follow all policies, participate in recognition culture, and drive positive pet parent experiences.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled, wet environment with moderate noise.
