Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety/cleanliness standards. This entry-level role suits animal lovers with flexible schedules, offering meaningful impact through grooming that wags tails and delights owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing per standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and phone inquiries.
- Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured pets, and maintain clean salon/store.
- Recommend wellness solutions and sell merchandise/services.
- Assist other departments and embody Belonging culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible availability (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing, wet/hairy environments, moderate-high noise, and animal handling. Depth perception essential.
