Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Gulfport, MS location, you'll deliver exceptional salon services, engage pet parents, and uphold safety standards. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience with opportunities for advancement in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person and via phone.
- Ensure safe environments; identify and act on sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and recommend merchandise/services.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, computer proficiency, and excellent communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in wet/noisy environments with live animals.
