PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Halifax store involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Ideal for animal lovers with flexible availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations.
- Perform baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per standards.
- Ensure pet safety, respond to injuries, and recommend wellness solutions.
- Maintain store cleanliness and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Seeking candidates with pet handling comfort, strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and ability to thrive under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand for shifts, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Exposed to wet environments, pet hair, and moderate noise.
