Role Overview
Our Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience in a dynamic retail environment, with opportunities to advance in pet grooming and retail leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness solutions.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and ensure a safe environment for pets, associates, and customers.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, assist departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – passion for pets is key! Successful candidates demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a wet, pet-filled environment.
