Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Hermitage store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean salon environment. Ideal for animal lovers seeking flexible, rewarding work.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and provide wellness recommendations.
- Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured pets, and maintain salon/store cleanliness.
- Sell merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.
- Follow all policies while fostering a culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Seeking candidates with strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand for shifts, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Passion for pets and physical stamina essential in a pet hair-filled, moderate-noise environment.
