Role Overview

The Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and store support in a dynamic retail environment with live animals, moderate noise, and physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per standards.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person or by phone.
• Ensure safe environments; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, recommend products/services, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical abilities include standing, lifting 50-100 lbs, working in wet/hairy conditions with animals.
