Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Houston, Texas location, you'll deliver exceptional salon services, engage pet parents, and ensure pet safety. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience with flexible scheduling and advancement potential in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per standards.
- Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
- Maintain safe environments, identify sick/injured pets, and take immediate action including vet transport.
- Recommend merchandise/services, uphold cleanliness, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in wet/noisy pet environments. Excellent communication essential.
