Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Houston salon involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean environment. Ideal for animal lovers seeking flexible, rewarding work with evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend health/wellness solutions.
- Ensure pet safety, report and transport sick/injured pets as needed, and maintain salon/store cleanliness.
- Sell merchandise/services and assist other departments while following all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Success demands pet affinity, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/hairy environments, moderate-high noise, and live animals. Flexible scheduling essential.
