Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and ensures pet safety. This entry-level role in our Houston store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Ideal for animal lovers with flexible schedules ready to thrive in a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per company standards.
- Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
- Identify sick/injured pets and coordinate vet transport if needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness, recommend products/services, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Seeking candidates proficient in computers, with strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Passion for pets, attention to safety, and customer focus essential. Physical demands include wet/hairy environments and moderate noise.
