Role Overview
The Pet Bather role is perfect for animal lovers who thrive in a fast-paced salon setting. You'll deliver top-tier bathing services, ensure pet safety, and delight pet parents with exceptional care. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in pet grooming with room to advance into styling or management.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart's Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full-service baths, brush-outs, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, and consultations with pet parents.
- Maintain a clean, safe salon environment and respond to pet health issues.
- Upsell merchandise and wellness solutions based on pet needs.
- Assist across store departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, pet-handling comfort, organizational prowess, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs (team lifts for heavier), standing for shifts, and working in a wet, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise.
