Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Houston store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment amid a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness solutions/merchandise.
- Ensure pet safety, report sick/injured animals, and transport to vet as needed.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments.
- Uphold company policies, participate in Belonging culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, noisy environment with live animals.
