Role Overview
PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment in our vibrant Huntington Beach store.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness solutions.
- Ensure pet safety, respond immediately to sick/injured animals, and transport to vets as needed.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments.
- Drive sales of merchandise/services while fostering positive experiences.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, wet environment with moderate noise and live animal exposure.
