Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Irving, Texas location, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering exceptional salon services while upholding PetSmart's vision. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and recommending wellness solutions. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), work in wet/hairy conditions with moderate to high noise. Exposure to live animals and mechanical parts common. Reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage check-in/out, reservations, and consultations.
- Ensure safe environment; handle sick/injured pets immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness, recommend/sell merchandise/services, assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Passion for pets a must.
