Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This entry-level role involves bathing, brushing, nail trims, and more, while maintaining salon safety and cleanliness. You'll engage customers, recommend products, and contribute to store operations in a fast-paced pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete mandatory Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full-service baths, standalone grooming like nail trims and teeth brushing per PetSmart standards.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person or via phone.
• Ensure pet safety, report sick/injured pets, and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
• Upsell merchandise, wellness solutions, and services while assisting other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, pet-handling comfort, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing, stooping in a wet, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise.
