Role Overview

As a Pet Bather in our Kansas City, Missouri location, you'll deliver exceptional grooming services, engage pet parents, and ensure pet safety. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in pet care, customer service, and salon operations, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care independently.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person or by phone.
• Maintain cleanliness, recommend products, and ensure safe environments.
• Respond to sick/injured pets and assist across departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet handling comfort, customer service skills, computer proficiency, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, wet/hair-filled environment). Strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure essential.

Physical Demands

Expect standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), exposure to noise, water, pet hair, and animals. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
