Role Overview

As a Pet Bather in our Kensington, MD location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering salon services like bathing, brushing, nail trims, and more. Uphold PetSmart’s vision while ensuring pet safety, store cleanliness, and exceptional customer experiences. This entry-level role offers flexibility and growth in pet retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full menu of bath/brush services per company standards.
• Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
• Recommend health/wellness solutions and sell merchandise/services.
• Maintain safe environment; act on sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
• Ensure store cleanliness and assist other departments as required.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, and proficiency in computer apps. Excel in communication, composure under pressure, and flexible scheduling (evenings, weekends, holidays). Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to wet environments, pet hair, and moderate noise.
