Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Kitchener store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment amid a dynamic pet retail setting.

Essential Physical Demands

Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift over 100 lbs), stoop, kneel, and handle pets in a wet, noisy environment with pet hair and mechanical parts. Depth perception required; accommodations available.

Key Responsibilities

Core duties include completing Splash training, greeting pet parents, performing full bath/brush services and add-ons like nail trims, ensuring pet safety (including vet transport if needed), recommending products, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting other departments while fostering a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates demonstrate pet passion, customer service skills, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational detail, and strong communication. Physical stamina for lifting and pet handling essential.
