Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Lakewood, NY location, you'll deliver exceptional salon services while engaging pet parents. Uphold PetSmart's vision by ensuring positive experiences, pet safety, and salon excellence. This entry-level role offers flexibility and pathways to grooming careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per standards.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations.
- Maintain safe environments, respond to sick/injured pets, and recommend wellness solutions.
- Ensure store cleanliness and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet-handling passion, customer service skills, computer proficiency, organizational abilities, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in wet, pet-hair-filled environments.
