Role Overview

The Pet Bather role delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level position involves hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ideal for animal lovers seeking meaningful work with physical demands including lifting up to 50lbs.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, and sanitary care per standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend health solutions/merchandise.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers.
• Identify and act on sick/injured pets, transporting to vets as needed; assist other departments.
• Follow all policies, participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Success demands pet affinity, customer service prowess, organizational detail, pressure composure, communication skills, and computer proficiency. Physical abilities include standing, lifting 50+ lbs (team lifts for heavier), working in wet/noisy/pet hair environments.
